D I Y: FLOWER CROWN

As some of you might already be anticipating spring break (despite the war with books and bills to
pay) we thought it would be fun to make out our own hair accessories for it. These DIY instructions
might be useful to those who wants to have that little extra for music festivals. We were kinda
inspired by the flower crowns that were on sale on NastyGal, but they costed a hundred dollar for
something that we can make ourselves. All the materials we bought did not cost more than $40 and
we manage to make 4 crowns!
The materials are easy to get and in fact, you can get it all from one place: JoAnn's!
Here's what you need:
Some assorted artificial flowers.
Florist tape.
Some malleable wire material..florist wires?
    Hot glue gun
(Here's the LINK to discount coupons for Jo-Ann's)

1// You would want to measure the circumference of your head, with the help of a friend, when you try
to bend the wires according to the shape of your head. You also would want to leave about half an
inch of slack, just in case.
2// "Clingwrap" your halos with green florist tape. Or you can find like chromed, glittered, other
colored tapes at JoAnn's too!
3// You should get this.
4// Fire up your glue gun and start hot glue-gunning the artificial flowers onto the halo. You have to
be careful not to burn yourself and always have an extra cardboard as a surface to rest the glue gun.
5// Arrange according to how you imagined it would be!
6// Success !

We know, we know, the rose crown is a little too overwhelming for spring break. It's one of those
avant-garde pieces you just lay at one corner of your living room...untouched. Regardless, spring
break would be fun with a little floral and a little color, yes? Especially for EDC or UMF :) So
anyway, both of us are not doing spring break together...sad. One's going to Miami and one to Bahamas.
BUMMER.
We hope this helps someone! Have an awesome weekend!

For our chinese friends and family,
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR.
